Today was my initial visit with Dr. Gina Perez and I opted for this location instead of the one in downtown Charleston. This campus is beautiful and the inside was very clean. EVERYONE was nice and helpful. The ladies in the lab are skilled and friendly-this is coming from someone who is usually a hard stick and often requires a butterfly needle-but not this time. One stick and done today! Dr. Perez was very thorough and patient. She answered all of my questions and addressed my concerns. She is new to MUSC and I am very confident that I am in great hands.
This campus is so nice compared to the tower in downtown. It's a much more chill area with plenty of parking and the building is nice, clean, easy to navigate and it has size friendly seating. The staff is incredible and Mary Elizabeth Geddings and Dr. Fernandes are absolutely outstanding. The care from the nurses here and the providers has been top notch. They are pretty strict on time though so if you're traveling from out of town, I wouldn't risk the drive because there's so many accidents that pop up on the way in. Stay the night in the hotels close by!
Plenty of parking at this MUSC facility where wife has seen specialists that only have equipment in this location, it is worth the trip if the appointment is mid day so traffic on the speedway 26 is not an issue and we can knock a couple of errands while in pretty Mount P Doctors do a good job but the waiting time is a little over the usual but as a patient there is not much you can do. I was tempted to take more stars for the waiting because appointment was at 12 and she got here at 11:45 as she was told and it is 1:15 and she is still there, maybe the doctor is at lunch?
