I want to give a HUGE SHOUT OUT to Dr Laura Shapiro Shen of Lowcountry Kids Pediatric Dentistry and Dr Pierce with Pierce Orthodontist for all of the hard work, patience, after hours time and care they’ve given Harrison. Harrison had a bad fall last week that caused trauma to two permanent teeth. Dr Laura and her staff brought us in immediately and stayed well after hours putting Harrison’s smile back together again. Two plus hours later, Harrison’s teeth had been sealed back on, wired and she had notified Dr Pierce of the events that had taken place. Dr Pierce’s office was our next stop the following morning. After reviewing x-rays and several discussions between Dr Laura and Dr Pierce, it was determined that braces would be the best route in order to move the delicate, permanent teeth back to proper position. Fingers are crossed that the teeth can heal without further damage. Throughout all of this Harrison has been a trooper! He’s on a soft foods diet for a month and Valentine’s Day almost did him in but he survived! ❤️ If you don’t have a pediatric dentist and are looking for one or are looking to switch I highly recommend Dr Laura and her staff at Lowcountry Kids Pediatric Dentistry. For kids orthodontics, Dr Pierce and his staff, have made us feel like part of the family. My Harrison has been spoiled!

We love Dr. Laura! We first visited when my son was 2 - he had chipped off half his tooth and eventually needed to have it pulled. Dr. Laura and her amazing staff made us all feel safe and comfortable with the procedure. And now, as Pete’s regular dentist, we love that they are patient with his toddler ways and also they work quickly! So glad we found this practice.
