Until the price levels off, there are better options for golf at the SC/NC line than Glen Dornoch. Don't get me wrong I am aware I played the first week of October and the rates everywhere are prime time, but Glen Dornoch rates were too high and different $ than quoted when I called, so consider other courses such as Thistle, Myrtlewood, Rivers Edge, River Hills. 17th hole is gimmicky. 7th hole tee box caused carts to become automatically disabled because the bounding overlapped the cart path. The Marshall failed to force foursomes to move on. We were averaging 2-3 minutes waits on every stroke on the back nine because of slow play by groups ahead of us. Despite these 3 issues the course was in great shape and was generally fun to play.

Good conditions especially for the current summer heat.

    Good staff.

Don't buy food here. $20 ($2.09 tip included) for 2 hot dogs and a bag of chips. Basic, bland hot dogs.

I came for the waterway views, and they are spectacular. Labor day Sunday so it was 1 boat after another. You only get the view on 1, 8, 9,16, 17 and 18. But we'll worth it.

Problem is pace. 2 and a half hours for front. Stopped for a hot dog. And spent 25 minutes knowing how slow it was going to be. Teed off on 10 and was waiting on the group oroginally behind me st 11 tee. They let me.back in front of them.
