“I have a very sweet, but very shy Boston terrier, especially when I try to take her new places (park, river walk, etc). She freezes up and refuses to walk or tries to get back in the car. After working with Tom, I know I have the tools to continue working with Minnie to make her more comfortable whenever we go to a new location or she’s in an unfamiliar environment. I learned so much about how dogs think/act and how to be a better owner for Minnie so she lives a better life. I know it’ll be a lifelong process with her anytime we go somewhere new, but I now know how to manage my expectations and work with her in new situations. So thankful!“
“Words do not adequately describe how much Craig helped us. We got our Vizsla the day before we found out we were expecting. We tried so very hard to train her ourselves but were left frustrated. We basically adapted our entire lives around her.Enter Craig. Craig taught us the correct way a dog should be trained. “Edit to this review a year later: Barnwell Oaks is still the greatest kennel ever. The owner is incredibly friendly, and the manager, Shelby, is phenomenal. I adore this place and never, ever doubt when my pets are being boarded here. Go with Barnwell Oaks! You won't be disappointed!I've had no issues with this place whatsoever. I've left my pets here multiple times and the staff are always super attentive to my many dogs' needs (which are quite different from each other) and even have personal updates on my own pets when I come to pick them up. They tell me if my dog was nervous, sick, didn't eat, or similar.I've stopped by a few times to make appointments or drop off vet records and they're always hard at work caring for the dogs, especially during storms or similar. They take the job seriously and cut no corners, and I am grateful to have this service for my pets. I highly recommend them for boarding. Oh, and they're quite affordable too!I see people mentioning that they charge $1 a day to feed your pet their own food, but I have no problem with this as I know it requires extra storage and consideration to feed them outside of what they know already. They also offer grooming services, med-giving services and more, all for affordable rates.Thank you!“

His attention span is still really short, but thanks to Kelly, Dawn, and the team, they provided the expertise we needed to reinforce the training.
