When our son Benjamin was born like most new moms, I was having a hard time with breast-feeding. I was having to use a nipple shield and we felt this was causing nipple confusion plus he had began losing weight and actually got 1 lb under his birth weight. In the first five days of his life he was not able to latch without the nipple shield and even with that for very short periods of time and with a lot of frustration. We met with three different lactation specialists and though they gave a lot of advice and suggestions Benjamin was still having a hard time. We decided to go see chiropractor- Thad. After examining our son he was able to let us know the best method for feeding and adjusted him to help with these methods. Benjamin was so calm during the adjustment and Thad did great being gentle with our fragile newborn. In less than 30 minutes after his adjustment Benjamin latched for the first time without use of a nipple shield and throughout the day he was able to breast-feed without a nipple shield three more times and each time the amount of time went up. It is clear that the adjustment made by Thad helped so much with Benjamin’s breast-feeding. Today my 1 week old is breast-feeding as I write this review, we cannot thank Thad enough!
