This is my first year having to actually pay taxes rather than seeing if I can get returns via my old job that I had a W-2 form rather than the 1099 form I am employed under now. Was very anxious and nervous about how to go about it but Rick from April Tax helped me make sure I was all good! They are quick and have fair prices. Will be going to them next year ?

I worked for Mr Harper in the mid 80's he was a taskmaster but was always gracious about it and I learned so much from him. A job that I will never forget. We did everything by hand back then and he could not stress enough the importance of good penmanship folks still compliment me on mine and its all due to Mr Harper. Favorite saying "You ready?"

I needed professional services to communicate/negotiate with the IRS with my tax debt. I won't give specifics on how deep my hole was, but it was enough that would make me a poster-guy for any kind of tax relief service. Tom was very helpful. The up-front estimate was $150 to negotiate with the IRS to set up a plan. It involved getting him familiar with our history and sitting down to call (and wait on hold) to pitch a plan with them. Given that Tom has done this before and has been successful, I could tell that he did know tax law and the process well (for my circumstance at least). He knew the right things to say, how to say it, he knew what makes a favorable tax payer in the eyes of the agency as opposed to a dead beat to be collected upon. I ended up paying a little extra for his time to research my case and make the call. But given the amount he was able to save me, very well worth it! I do recommend to not stiff the IRS, but April Tax is helpful if you're in a jam and want to make good and you just want to ensure having someone in your corner. 5 stars, well worth it.
