I lived in a rental unit ran by Sandlapper for three years and had an overwhelmingly negative experience with the staff and company. Ashley (the owner and who we dealt with most often) initially seemed pleasant but our issues with her and sandlapper began very early on into them taking over our rental property (they sent us eviction warnings and a notice during the first month that they took over our lease, claiming we hadn't paid rent- which we had, and on time... we were confused/horrified and had a very difficult time getting in touch with them before they responded and essentially told us 'whoops, our bad!'). One of the agents here at The Sandlapper Group and Agent Owned Realty (Rodney) told my elderly parents that they would not get the house they were interested in unless they used the him (sellers agent) as their agent.Said “that’s how we do it in the south”.My dad is a Vietnam veteran and both parents are in there 70s.Good job taking advantage of our Aging community that we’re supposed to be protecting and a veteran who we should be honoring for serving our country. Shame on you.
