My review is from a renters perspective. I closed my salon to simplify my life and leased a space from Cirque because the location was way too convenient for me and my clients. I brought with me another stylist that worked for me. I was a great tenant. When I looked at the space the entry way had a bench for clients to sit, by the time moved in they have removed it so I brought furniture from my salon. No big deal. I thought this was going to be great. I wasn't going to use it and I wanted a place for my clients to sit. They keep the thermostat on 72 in the summer which is in the hallway. The suites themselves get super hot once you turn on a blow dryer. Some of the other suite owners would bring thermometers in to get the temperature of their suite and at one point I remember them saying it was 86 degrees. Don't plan to ever close your door for privacy. You will need all the ventilation you can get! I had a lot of health issues due to poor ventilation with my allergies so I closed in my garage and moved my studio home after a year there. I put in the 60 days notice that is required and patched the walls, etc. I left behind my shampoo unit that was 2 years old because I wanted a different style for my new space. No big deal...they will use it.. I didn't want to deal with having my plumber come in and I gave myself 1 day without clients to move so I was pressed for time. I checked with the manager Pat to make sure that was ok.. I wanted to make sure I get my deposit back. I also left a chandelier that I replaced their broken fan which should have been a dead giveaway about the extreme heat, who cuts hair with a fan blowing all the hair around? I did everything I was supposed to do! I have been trying to contact David Manzi to inquire about getting my security deposit back with no response. When I email Pat, the manager, he says yes there was a delay but it's best to contact David about it. I have been going back and forth with these people for 3 months with zero success and zero security deposit. If you rent from them, I would keep that in mind, as well as the roasting temperature. My clients would be dripping sweat as I blow them out. Cut hair would be sticking to their sweat. They were miserable, I was miserable. It doesn't make for a very happy work space!
I have been going to Kiran to do my eyebrows for more than ten years since she was at Sonia's, in the same shopping center. She is simply the BEST! Always leaves your eyebrows so beautiful! Plus she is the sweetest! I used to live in Herndon and throughout the years I've moved further away. Now I live in Ashburn and it takes me 25 to 35 minutes to come see her but I don't even consider going anywhere else because I know no one will do my eyebrows like Kiran!
Hair by Jamie Snider is highly recommended. Love her new local location and never have never been disappointed. My experience is always amazing and she always listens to my wants and needs. My envisions are always superseded by my expectations.
