“I moved to Charleston 15 years ago and one of the biggest struggles I had was finding a decent place to get a haircut. I would mostly go downtown where you had to deal with parking issues and long waiting times. Then I found The Local Shoppe. They are incredible. Amazing stylists, a great atmosphere and reasonably priced. But the best part is their online booking system. You go in and choose what you want done, which stylist you want and the time you want to arrive. And when you arrive you get right into the chair. Absolutely no waiting. Do your self a favor and check them out. You wont be disappointed.“

“I just barely moved to Charleston and was not happy about having to find a new barber as I’d had the same one for the past 8 years back home in Utah. I came crossed circa and gave it a try. I’m not one to leave reviews in fact I think this might be my first haha but Michael did such a damn good job! His attention to detail was amazing. Even though the hair style I was after was slightly different texture than my hair, he did his best layering and shaping my hair to make it work! “Charles is a proper barber surgeon!

I was visiting from out of town and stranded while waiting for a car repair. Although Charles kindly let me know they work off appointments, he let me inside to cool off on this particularly hot day. He was then able to get me in the chair, squeezing me in between appointments.

Based on his reviews, I knew I was in for a great cut. He exceeded my expectations and more importantly, my girlfriends.

What I didn’t anticipate was a rich conversation full of wisdom, proverbs from Charles’ late mother, and much needed advice (which at the time was unknown just how much it was needed).

Truly looking forward to sitting in Charles’ chair next time I’m in town, or maybe his law office! The possibilities are limitless with him.“

“Geer’s Barber shop is the place to go! First, you’ll notice how down to earth and nice Fred Geer is. Next, you notice that he cuts hair like it’s an art. He spends more time making sure the small things are all right. Then, he uses a clean warm razor with cream to shave the back of your neck, finishing with a warm towel and some aftershave. Lastly, you’ll realize that you got to experience this for just $5 more than Sport Clips, Great Clips, etc. I have had my hair cut here for over a year and would recommend it 1000x over. “Ralph is the ?. He gives the best fades and fade-adjacent type haircuts in the county, and anybody will tell you this. (Maybe he does other stuff IDK.) Occasionally, I'll be traveling or need a haircut quickly and go see someone else ... I usually end up regretting it.
