Southern Equine Service is an absolutely amazing facility and staff, considered one of the best vets around. The practice is professional, caring, and compassionate, with a super clean campus. Veterinarians take a lot of time with people and horses, giving detailed updates and explaining everything clearly. They are known for going above and beyond, even in emergencies or after hours for non-current clients, demonstrating true care. The supportive and accommodating team handles cases with compassion, from severe colic to specialized needs, ensuring animals are treated and can return home healthy. Clients report being incredibly pleased, impressed, and thrilled with the experience, finding the service hard to find now a days. The practice inspires complete trust, with many choosing to switch all their horses' needs to them.
Dr Ben is the best . we appreciate him so much. not only did he help me get my insulin resistant mare with normal levels . Several times he has come out to help us with our cows (which is not his specialty ). But recently we were distraught and losing our 21 yo steer . Dr ben was not on call , but came out at 930 at night , pouring rain , to put our Norman at peace .

Absolutely amazing facility and staff! Had an emergency with my horse and even though we weren’t current clients they took us after hours without hesitation. Dr.Lindsey went above and beyond during the entire process to let us know what she was doing, why she was doing it, what she was finding and explaining what everything meant. We will be switching over all of our horses needs to them we could not have been more impressed.
We are so thrilled to work with Southern EQ Service! Having just moved to South Carolina we were devastated when we found our sweet Friesian gelding sick. We had not established a veterinarian relationship yet! We called and spoke with Pam, who was incredibly sweet and accommodating. We were so worried and anxious(well, I was the worried one which made my husband miserable:). Dr Davis and Lilli are amazing. Dr Davis walked my husband and I through the diagnosis and treatment while Lilli took care of everything else. At the end, our horse is doing great and we are incredibly pleased with our experience.
