Sears Air Duct Cleaning Services is a totally unprofessional service. Scheduled a duct and dryer cleaning service with a two week window for service. When I connected to confirm the scheduled appointment a day ahead of schedule, it was shared that they attempted to reach out, however, unable to reach me. No record of missed call(s), or voice messages from any part of their service. No explanation given that they would not be available for services, and the next available appointment was two weeks from the scheduled appointment. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME on an unprofessional service operation. Supervisor suggested connecting with a BETTER duct cleaning service so obviously they are aware of their lack of customer service, and professionalism!! NO VALUE HERE!! In fact, would rate 0 stars if available.
Does anyone have any pictures they can share of the Sears duct cleaning invoice. I'm talks with an attorney and need a copy of the front and back. you can also send to [email protected]
This company is not a reputable business!!! This is my experience as briefly as I can put it. 1. They asked for a credit card before the service was performed and it is three months after the duct cleaning and related services and I have not received a refund for a documented overcharge. That is the least of my issues.. 2. When Sears Duct Cleaning completed the services, I asked if my air conditioner was up and running. The technician said yes. Ten minutes later I realized it wasn't. The outside weather was over 90 degrees and code orange for air quality. I have lung disease. I called immediately to ask them to come back and fix the air-conditioning. I finally got a manager. He said he would try to get someone to fix it and if I found someone to come out and fix it that evening he would pay for it. I found someone to fix it that evening. The problem was a wire which communicates between the controller and the AC unit was disconnected during the service. I have not been reimbursed those charges. 3. A month and a half later the AC failed again. The technician who repaired it discovered, after hours of troubleshooting, that the same wire was broken within the walls. He had to run a new wire. He also found during the troubleshooting that the filter was clogged with large pieces of dirt. This clogging occurred during the one and half months since the duct cleaning (see picture) !!!! He also stated that there was no indication that the coils had be cleaned, which was part of the contract. I also had other services performed on the supposedly cleaned ducts, bacterial etc. How can you perform and charge someone for those extra services when you haven't cleaned the ducts!!! I also had the dryer duct cleaned and just recently when I was outside smelled a strange odor like a smothering fire! Now I am wondering if they even cleaned the dryer vent. All this cost me over $1,700, plus two AC repairs. 4. I have been calling Sears Duct Cleaning for a couple of months now. I also provided them with all the information on the service performed and my complaints as they request. I cannot get the complaint resolved. They will not even refund the overcharge which is shown on the bill or pay for the AC repair which the "manager" told me they would on the evening of the service!!! Basically no service was performed except the cleaning of the furnace, which if it weren't performed would be visible. I am out over $2,500 and except for the clean furnace have nothing to show for it. I am an elderly woman with lung disease and and some point will need to spend more money for someone to actually clean the ducts. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. SEARS is not what it used to be.
