“I started seeing Alana at Whole You beauty in 2020; and will never see anyone else again. Post some impulsive DIY hair choices; my already thin hair was damaged and broken. I wanted to find someone I could see semi-regularly and sort of nurse it back to health.
I now can proudly say I have long, beautiful, healthy growing hair. No thanks to me. She does beautiful, subtle things to the color as well. She’s incredibly gracious, open to any and all idea's, and recognizes the power hair holds to some of us.
Additionally, I’m quite fond of the experience. While sunlit and in the heart of Wayland square; the location offers a lot more privacy than most salons I’ve been to. This translates to a more custom feeling experience.
10/10 best place, in virtually every capacity, to get one’s hair done.

“It's a little slept-on spot that looks like it's for grannies. Wouldn't have looked at it twice a few years ago, but now that I'm officially middle-aged I gave it a go. Kristen suggested a long layered cut, just long enough to be pulled back, and she skillfully worked with the best features of my hair while minimizing any trouble areas. I waited a few weeks before writing this review to see how my hair settled into the cut, and I’m pleased to say she did an excellent job. “I've been following stylist Devan for over a decade! I won't say the exact amount of years, that will make me feel old! I have curly thick hair, and Devan knows how to perfect it! Devan and the other stylists recently opened AnaCyn on quaint Elmgrove Ave near Wayland Square. The space is simple and well decorated. It's not a huge salon, but for me, it has everything I need! Everyone is super friendly and relaxed. If you're looking for a new stylist or a good blow out....check it out!“
