I've had the pleasure of using Burton Family Dental for the past five years or so and I could not be more satisfied. Dr. Burton and Dr. Shin are among the best dentists in the business. They are both professional, down to earth and extremely talented at what they do. I have had multiple, painless, cavities filled by Dr. Burton. More recently I have had the pleasure of being a patient of Dr. Shin. Dr. Shin has performed a crown procedure as well as an extraction of a wisdom tooth. I had a great experience. It was quite simply the best experience I have ever had at the dentist. I wanted to give one star when I found out they don’t take insurance (any insurance) after I waited three months for the appointment. My wife goes to them so I didn’t look them up on the Delta Dental website to see if they were approved. She has never paid for her visits outside of a copay or what was not covered. I was able to have a conversation with Dr. Burton about the decision. I explained to her that it was more the shock of not knowing. I went to dr. Burton’s downtown Providence office and had the best dental appointment if my adult life. I had struggled with transparency at other dentist offices on the true state of my teeth after continuously being skeptical of urgency of invasive procedures when my oral care habits were consistent. Dr. Burton shed light by doing a full exam and highlighting that in fact there were parts of my teeth and gums that were not quite in ideal health but provided a lot of perspective on how to alter my care at home to reverse the effects of the damage leading to a proactive approach on both sides.
