I have been going to Family EyeCare since 1977, but my last visit to their optical department left me uneasy about ever going back. I left a deposit for the glasses on 7/5/2024 which took approximately a month to come in. I received a credit for the deposit of 7/5/2024, but I am still waiting for the additional charge that they made on my CC on 8/10/2024. I returned the glasses back to them because I couldn't see a thing up close with the glasses. Their excuse was that the frames were too big. The last time I got glasses there the woman that helped me thought that the frames I currently have were too small. You just cannot make this stuff up. I can only say it's been almost 3 weeks for a refund and still nothing. I went there today 8/27/24 to try to see if I could advance the process, but I was told since I put a dispute in with my bank. They were washing their hands out the whole thing. The only reason I put in a dispute with the bank was because a week had passed and still no refund. Their excuse is if they were to give me a refund after I put the dispute in that I would end up owing them $$. You just cannot make this shit up. Yes, I did call the bank. Patients are not a virtue for me. The way I look at it you didn't have a problem charging my CC. It shouldn't take 3 weeks. I forgot to mention that I have proof that they charged my credit card. They might not have proof of it but I do. It only leaves me to believe that something happened to the money that's why they are refusing to fund me the amount charged to my credit card on 8/10/2024

I had a minor contacts question. And while they were unable to assist me, they were polite. (I should have half jokingly name dropped that my father was Dr Kaplan’s high school French teacher lol.

$50 fee charged for a canceled appointment I agreed last week to go in but unfortunately I missed it and called few hours later to reschedule because I badly needed new glasses. After more than 10 years using family eye care even I tried to argue it still a big No won't unlock my account to book me another appointment unless I pay the $50.00 with the worse of customer service attitude on the phone putting me so long on hold... I end up paying and booked another appointment which will be in about 2 months later but I won't be buying no more my glasses from them.
