Losing a loved one is sad, there is just no way around that. Having to plan services while feeling this way, even harder. Thank God for Jeff. He took care of everything. His compassion for the deceased and their families, especially people with special needs was so heart felt. While I am not looking forward to needing these services, I know where I’ll turn to when I do.
We recently lost a loved one and had the emotional task of planning his services. We had heard nothing but good things about J.J. Duffy, and decided to call them, they were prompt to respond and set up a meeting immediately. At a time when grief was taking over, they were unbelievably helpful and responsive to all our questions and requests. At the meeting Jeff made a point to make us feel welcome and ask questions about our loved one to get a feel for him and it felt nice knowing he wanted to know who he was. We left a little less overwhelmed and with checklists to follow to know everything would fall into place for a proper service. The next few days were difficult and little questions would come up about the coalition, or pictures, or timing and everytime we would send a question we were met with an instant response. We were as prepared as could be, but what blew us away was all the small details and personal touches that they took the time to put together to make it absolutely beautiful and feel like the extremely special life celebration our loved one deserved. The personalized sign in book, multiple different prayer cards, obituary booklet, decor from his favorite things, music playing that he would have loved. There were so many little touches that made the day very special and we all enjoyed going through the memory cards later and reading what people had to say.
We had my grandfather's wake/funeral Thursday and Friday we delt mostly with Bryan their attention to detail and the little things they added made everything so important and special ❤ im sure my gramps was looking down from above smiling loving every minute! I dont think there is actually a word to describe how amazing everything turned out im glad this event was held there I dont think it would have turned out better than it did! There was a blanket with his photo I didnt get a picture but other reviews have one! And they had little fake vegetables (since he loved gardening ????) and a suitcase ? since he loved to travelI want to thank everyone at jj Duffy especially...read full review
