Oakland Cemetery

My grandparents and aunt are buried there. It was supposed to be perpetual care. Whenever I go there are piles of trash, used syringes, and no care taken for those who have passed. It makes me sad that all that grandma and grandpa worked for all their lives, and Auntie Helen's very short life are remembered in this fashion. I met another man there who was also furious. Where is the owner? Why are they not held accountable for their property. If someone's yard was like this they'd be getting citations from the city!

The mausoleum is even worse. I've seen youtube videos where the news went inside. Caskets on the floor, some sticking out of the crypts. I've seen one video where one casket had the top open with human bones still in it. Hopefully they can remove the bodies and move them to a better resting place.

I'm not sure who the blame lies on, but the dead buried here should be given more respect. This cemetery is in complete disarray. It's an embarrassment and should be rectified. There is trash and debris strewn everywhere. The grass and weeds are uncontrolled. There appears to be a half dug grave and they're using headstones to lean equipment against. Inexcusable.
