THIS IS NOT A 5 STAR REVIEW, MORE LIKE A 0 I hesitated writing this review because I’m just not the kind of person to mess with someone’s livelihood, however, since the owner of this salon had absolutely no hesitation in taking my money and refusing to reimburse me for a totally botched service, here it goes. First, the young lady who performed the service was an absolute joy, and I’m sure she did nothing wrong, however the product used was either bad/expired or of very poor quality. It made literally zero difference to my hair. I’ve had many keratin treatments done in the past so am fully aware of what to expect. I followed aftercare instructions to a T, and then some: waited 4 days afterwards before washing with a high quality$$, keratin safe (sulfate/Paraben/sodium chloride free) shampoo, didn’t sweat, didn’t use any styling products, slept on a satin pillowcase, all that. After my very first wash (only one shampooing), my hair looks the same as it did before. I have never had my hair look like this after a keratin treatment, at least not until a few months and many shampoos later. I contacted the salon with pics of my puffy, frizzy hair, and the info on the shampoo I used, and still, they refused to reimburse me (I wasn’t asking for the tip back of course). Now keep in mind I have thin, wavy/loose curls, not coarse, coiled hair in which case I could understand having some curls and a little frizz left afterwards. For this “keratin” treatment to not have worked on me it really has to be absolute trash. The worst part is I had this treatment done because I have a broken arm and am unable to detangle my hair well with just one hand, not without ripping out my hair and causing pain (which also means I am unable to work rn so the money for this treatment was not easy to come by). They didn’t care. They tried to blame me for not buying their products, even though I sent them the info on the products I was planning to use beforehand and was told they were fine to use. Now I’m out X amount of money, and right back to where I was with my knotty, frizzy hair. No salon worth their salt (no pun) would refuse to reimburse someone in a situation such as this one. I honestly feel bad for the girl that did my treatment because I think if it were up to her, I’d have gotten my money back. Whoever the owner of this place is has zero work ethic, no heart, and does not stand by their products. She/he didn’t even have the nerve to answer me themselves. They should be ashamed, really.
