Moving from Lehigh Valley to Berks County this is definitely the worst part of my move. This agency is terrible. The efile is a joke (my wife and I work for one employer, no crazy investments, or anything else complicated). Apparently I made a mistake when I filed in March for our refunds. Fine. But I didn't even know until I CALLED to see what was going on at the end of MAY. Then they say "oh do you want us to send you the letter of why we can't process your refund?" Really? Do you not have the budget for the paper? Then I re-file in June with what they wanted and I call in September and it's "oh were still working on ones from April." I started my own small business and called Berks EIT twice over the last year because I needed assistance. Both times they were able to help me right away, were super friendly, patient, and gave me a lot of helpful information that led me in the correct direction and put my mind at ease. I was terrified to call the first time, but it was as pleasant as an experience could be, regarding taxes.
