I met with Brooks to talk over some very specific goals I have and he told me that they are not the best place to assist me with my goals and referred me to someone else. If my fitness goals change and I want to do something more in line with what type of training they specialize in, I will not hesitate to go back because that kind of honesty and frankness is not always commonplace in the business world. He could've promised me the world and taken my money but he and his gym clearly prioritize honesty and customer satisfaction which I think is great.“

I now feel that I know how to exercise safely, set my own (realistic!!) goals, and create sustainable nutrition plans for myself. Additionally, she helped me to gain a much healthier and less negative outlook on nutrition and exercise which makes this process even more rewarding.“

4042 Liberty Ave, Pittsburgh“If you are looking for an old-school bodybuilding gym, or a place to lift weights that isn’t a sterile/generic feeling commercial gym — this is the place. All of the staff here is wonderful, friendly, and helpful. This gym uses metal weights (which is hard to come across these days) and has a good variety of machines. One of my favorite aspects of the gym are the trophies and posters that cover almost every inch of the walls. This place has a lot of history, and the staff that work here have a lot of passion for weightlifting (and the Bloomfield/PGH community in general). If you are looking to join a gym that actually has purpose, look no further. Despite being more old-school, everything is maintained very well. Only downside might be the bathroom, because it isn’t large, but that’s not the reason you go here. I would recommend this place to just about anyone, I even bring my dad when he visits because he likes it so much.“

Parking is inside which is a plus and it's free to park in the garage.“
