Good food, a little drab, very nice and helpful desk, kitchen, dining, office staff. Could pay more individual attention to residents to get more involvement in the numerous activities with poor turnout. Encourage more mixing
My father moved into SHV over two years ago directly from his home of nearly 50 years. Thank God he did! The staff here are phenomenal—they create a very safe, caring, connected community that I think is quite special. The quality of life for residents is really all about the people. Like most places these days, they have some staffing challenges in the kitchen and with the waitstaff at meals. Overall, though, it’s a great place.
