Ace Appliance was assigned to me by my membership with American Home Shield. Ace Appliance was assigned to me by my membership with American Home Shield. As I had a previous very negative experience with one of their contractors (dishwasher repair), I read as many reviews as I could.. finding some great, some truly negative.. and was quite sceptical.Here's our experience as relates to a refrigerator which had totally quit working: The appointment was schduled (not as soon as I'd have liked) and the technician (Joe) arrived on time as scheduled and I'd been kept advised of his progress. He was dressed appropriately for the work, although not in a"uniform". Turned out he is the owner of the business and as we chatted, I learned he has 30 years+ experience.He promptly diagnosed the problem and as it's fairly common, had the parts on his truck to complete the repair. Once the part was installed, he waited an appropriate time to make sure the refrigerator was working. Total on site time, slightlly less than an hour.A negaitve? He is a small business with only himself and possibly one other employee. It took 3 calendar days to get an appointment. Most communication is by email; his phone goes to voicemail and or answering service.. but is reliable.Read all other reviews as you wish, but this is truthful and accurate and I'd expect to be duplicated for at least refrigerator repairs.PS I have a spare refrigerator that has a frostdiing problem. He took a look at that and made a correction note to me at no extra charge.

I was assigned to Ace through my warranty company and was nervous about the reviews. First, you need to communicate with them via email and youll get nuch faster response. I got on their calendar in three days. Joe arrived in his appointment window and diagnosed my issue within five minutes. Unfortunately it was an electrical issue that required an electrician so I can't comment on their workmanship, but I was pleasantly surprised by how smooth everything went given the other reviews.
