My associate and I are safety officers for several businesses in New Jersey and the Philadelphia area. Our positions require us to appear in courts from time to time. Our return trip from just such an appearance as we traveled on US 22 east we witnessed this company’s vehicle in the left lane using the brake excessively. We followed from a distance and found the vehicle was actually tailgating several cars. Still following at a safe distance we witnessed this same company vehicle being a white service van change lanes and driving dangerously in the right lane. We saw the little red car he was tailgating was in our opinion safely driving in the left lane when this white van was swerving side to side in the right lane. For no reason the white van swerved into the left lane and applied brake whereupon forcing the red car to apply brakes quite aggressively. It was at this point all traffic behind slowed way down as the person driving the red car with what appears to us as a child in the left rear and a baby seated child in the right rear seating positions regained control and attempted to avoid the white van changing lanes into in the right lane, whereas my colleague and myself witnessed yet another unsafe lane change by the white van into the right and onto an exit ramp. Being safety conscientious professionals we are compelled to get and relay as much accurate and poignant information as possible to protect the public and private interest. We followed the van off the exit wherein my associate was able to get identification including registration from the vehicle at a safe distance. Several phone calls and messages to this company were ineffectual as they did not return our calls. With our contacts in the PASP and NJSP we will alert other safety professionals aware of this dangerous activity. We do however have the witnessing traffic cameras saved in case we hear of any involvement concerning this vehicle. Please, do not associate with this or any other services provider that will condone this threat to public safety and persons’ lives. We have been to many fatal accident investigations and way too many funerals. Please be safe and enjoy your summer.
