Mary Jo's Salon is treasure trove of women empowerment and house some of the best elements of this community. The women leading Mary Jo's are so kindhearted, talented, and give you so much more than just a haircut. This salon has the environment of Steel Magnolias mixed with The Barbershop, if you get my drift. The time spent here is well spent. You come in with the weight of the world on your shoulders and you leave feeling lighter in body, heart, and mind. This is what every salon should be like -- and I'm so lucky to have experienced it. Really nice local salon in Swisshelm Park! I went for the first time this weekend after having just moved to the neighborhood and will definitely go back. Easy scheduling, not crowded. Mary Jo cut my hair and is very friendly. The other staff was nice and welcoming too. Reasonable prices (cash only though). It is great to support a local business like this.
