I was waiting to write this review until I received a second opinion elsewhere. It has been about a year since I was seen by rheum at Geisinger and I must say that I am disappointed by the level of care. I sought help after years of what I thought were rheumatological issues, having never been officially evaluated by a rheumatologist before. I came to my appointment loaded with old lab work, documented symptoms, and a checklist of issues I wanted to discuss with the doctor. I was put in with a PA who listened to what I had to say and dismissed all of my concerns as nothing. Just got back from my first appt with Dr Opperman. Felt rushed. I was told that he could not take my word for how I was feeling. He went into the drug problem in this country, when I had already told him I did not like to take RX because of side effects. He stood up and reached out his hand to leave. I told him I had a few questions. I felt he was not attentive and was dismissive with my concerns.
