Jesse did a great job replacing my floor after a water damage accident. He worked hard to find a flooring match to the original when we thought it would be impossible. He started soon after I called and thoroughly explained the whole process. He is very detailed oriented and patient with all the tedious work to replace and fix trim. I would have him back again if I ever have another flooring project and would highly recommend him.

Like when I say it was stuck in my hair, I mean it was solid and stuck like glue. I was on the verge of cutting it all off, which I partially did, but Leanne managed to get the rest of it out and also make my hair feel really happy :)

We were in for a kid’s haircut this morning and I was blown away by how well it went. My 3 year old son is super hesitant to have anything done to him, and has never sat and had his hair cut professionally before. Our stylist was so kind and calm and didn’t do anything over the top or fake to try to draw him in, which was PERFECT for us. And his hair came out looking great. We will absolutely be back with him, and the rest of the family may be scheduling as well in the future!
I got a great haircut here on my wavy hair. The lady's name is slipping my mind but she had black glasses and shoulder length blonde hair. She was an absolute sweetheart and took time to make sure my hair was perfectly to my liking.

Just had my hair done yesterday by Celena at Holiday Hair - a balayage color (and slight trim). Was a bit nervous because it was my first time at that salon, so the first time I had someone there do a balayage color (and I'm picky about how its done). I am in my 70s and have longish grey hair, so I don't run into many people my age who have their hair done this way, but I have long been a maverick.
The color Celena helped me pick (a sort of bluish purple) turned out to be just perfect. And the job she did was great, color starting about 3 to 4 inches from the top of my head, a bit irregular (which is one of the "features" of balayage), very intense color (which is what I wanted). She gave me all the warnings before leaving (protect my pillow case for a week, use coolish water when shampooing to protect the color from fading, etc.).
I will definitely be back when its time for it to be done again.

I've been going to Looks for the past 10 months and have been getting my hair done by Sarah Vollmar the entire time. She has been nothing but wonderful. She's extremely talented and personable and gave me my iconic bangs that I get compliments on everyday. I'm sadly moving away from State College so I will no longer get to go to Looks, my only regret is that I didn't go sooner!!
I was lucky. Classes at the university hadn't started yet, I was the only customer in the store, and the manager was the person cutting my hair. I got a great haircut and has a pleasant conversation with her. The hot towel at the end is worth the wait. Heck, they could charge just for the hot towel. I have been going here for my haircuts for years and never had a bad haircut. The price for senior citizens is great too. I highly recommend this place for a good haircut.

I've been getting my haircuts from Pete for over three years now, and I can confidently say he gives the best haircuts in State College. As an Asian, it's often challenging to find a good barber in the US, but Pete definitely knows what he's doing. Over these three years, he has consistently delivered the best quality haircuts. Pete is the only barber I trust in the US. Not only is he exceptionally skilled, but he's also incredibly friendly and creates a welcoming atmosphere in his shop. The music he plays is always great, adding to the overall experience. I'll miss him and his fantastic service. Highly recommended!

Ellie is meticulous! I am so picky about my manicures, and she not only takes fabulous care of me, she also has healed my nails after disastrous ($$$) manis in NYC. I haven’t been happy with most pedicures I’ve gotten around town, and have even gotten infections some places. But they are super diligent about cleanliness and sanitizing. I highly recommend the Signature Pedicure!

Yesterday was my 3rd cut and Style at Pietro's Salon. As always, owner Tina was taking all steps to ensure safety: temps on entry, no waiting in salon, sanitizing stations before and after each client and hand sanitizing. Stylists and clients masked entire time in salon. Oh-AND-a great cut and style. You can feel safe and comfortable getting wonderful service at Pietro's Salon in Creekside shops across from KFC in State College.

This was an amazing experience! I’m always nervous going to a new place but this was great. I got a classic manicure and pedicure. Gabriella took time making sure my nails looked good. The place didn’t smell like nail polish or anything over powering just clean and very well kept.

Trent performed the first maintenance check on the mini splits I had installed by Goodco. He called to let me know what time he would arrive and was very prompt. He explained everything that he was doing and showed me the various components that he was cleaning, explaining their function. He also reviewed how to change the vanes in the ceiling mounted unit to assure that the air was focused where I wanted it to be. He was very friendly, very knowledgeable, and provided great service!

I have had dead interior and exterior outlets in my house for at least 3 years. Over that time, I've had 3 different reputable electricians come to the house, having issues diagnosing the issue without needing to take out drywall, fish out wires through the attic, etc. Lydia from Home Wire Electric listened while I summarized what work was done, and then went to investigate. In an hour - AN HOUR - all the outlets were back and live! I don't know how much money she saved Mr, but the headaches and inconvenience avoided make the work priceless. I'll be referring Lydia and Home Wire Electric to anyone looking for residential services every ? time ?

Updated to add that after posting this review, ACO contacted me and immediately offered to completely replace my stair runner and correct the mistakes. I'm delighted that they've been willing to stand behind their work and take care of their customers. I remain happy with the design of the runner I chose and the durability of the wool material which has withstood kids up and down the stairs -- I've not had any issues with stains in spite of many spills. I'm looking forward to having the new runner installed with attention to detail on the install process that will hopefully prevent the same issues in the future. Will post updated photos once the work has been done.

Unhappy with the install They provided of this wool stairway runner which was already “fixed” once immediately after it was done when I complained. The edges weren’t bound where they met at the bottom of each step where the carpet was cut. I complained and they replaced part of it to bind the edge at the very bottom step only. Within less than a year it looked frayed. Photos show first step after 2.5 years and I think I’ll have to replace it. It was an expensive material and looks terrible now where it was cut. Sloppy work on install is the problem though I’m happy with the carpet itself otherwise. I picked this wool material because of its reported durability expecting it to last at least 7-10 years in good shape.

At present, they have replaced the windows and roof for my home. They have always called back quickly to schedule an estimate, quoted a reasonable price, and scheduled a start date so soon after the estimate that it left me surprised by their efficiency.
If their team finds unexpected problems during the project, they clearly state the nature of the issue, along with recommendations on additional work, and how that might change the cost. There are no high pressure sales tactics - just suggestions about how to provide the best possible result.
The crew members are polite and professional, and the work that they do is top notch. I can't recommend them enough.

Dr. Roan is an excellent dentist. I have had bad dental experiences in the past that made me dread going even for a simple cleaning. I became a patient of Dr Roan's office about 12 years ago and I will never go to another dentist until he retires. It is worth the hour drive to know I will be seeing a competent professional who listens to my concerns, explains the procedures, and has my best interest in mind while performing them.

On July 3rd, 2024 my little pug, Annie, had a complicated surgery performed at All Pets. She had preliminarily been diagnosed by another vet with mammary cysts, and another spay and neuter clinic refused to perform her spay because they didn't have the expertise to deal with whatever it was causing these two large masses on her abdomen. Well, Dr. Cruden figured out that the masses were actually 2 large hernias that involved her bladder, bowel and uterus. It was a big procedure, which was completely successful! Then he performed her spaying right then so she wouldn't have to undergo a second surgery. They care here. They are professional Herr. They are ethical and it's not all about the money. I HIGHLY recommend their services.
It was my first time at this vet. The staff were all very polite and friendly and were able to give me a same day appointment even though it was my first visit. I waited about 3 minutes before they came to get me. I was very upset because my dog Milo was peeing blood. They took very good care of him. There was a small miscommunication regarding my bill and when they realized I didn’t have enough money for the medication they were kind enough to allow me to pay for it next month. I would definitely recommend them to anyone. I don’t know what I would have done without them
