Been with Dr. Luvaas for a couple years now until recently. It was never a pleasant experience, but recent events have compelled me to write this review.Dr. Luvaas just terminated my care because I kept complaining that my contact lenses have been tearing for the past 2 years, and it's definitely not due to me mishandling them; I've worn this same brand for many years, and only in the last couple years did they start tearing. Like, they're supposed to last 30 days, but they rarely do anymore. They made me pay for an extra 6 month supply THAT I SHOULDN'T HAVE HAD TO PURCHASE in the first place, because my insurance wouldn't cover any extras.I think she just didn't want to absorb the extra cost of replacements, and because I won't let it go (because financially I can't AFFORD to let it go as I'm financially struggling), she ditched me. When she made it clear she "couldn't" help me (she said it was out of her control), I emailed the manufacturer about my issue, and GET THIS: they said their hands are tied because any replacements must be authorized by my provider. The SAME DAY that I called her office telling them my intent to email the manufacturer is the same day marked on the letter I just received terminating my care, allegedly because of my "lack of trusting relationship". Honey, if you want me to trust you, you'll have to actually DO YOUR JOB PROPERLY AND NOT LIE TO ME TO TRY TO SAVE MONEY. 0/10 would not recommend.

Dr. Luvaas and her staff were great. From the comprehensive eye exam to selecting the right frames, they were all extremely helpful. And since I was replacing my broken glasses, I can't say enough about the rush they put on my order, so that I could start seeing again.

Dr Luvaas has too much overhead. Even though bill was paid in full after visit other follow up bills followed. Be forewarned there are plenty of optometrists around. I know we will take our business elsewhere and I recommend you do too.
