This facility has the worst wrap around services that I've seen in the twenty years that I've used SCC to get meds. Especially under Dr. Parrick who initially offered to change my addictive psych meds because these meds can lead to lack of concentration and dementia. Because he only has the memory of a gold fish, who forget everything after they heard it. I personally was going through a rough time will my physical health and my mental health. First I tried to follow his med changes in January of 2024. That was hard enough to follow in my depressed state. It took until the beginning of February to get that somewhat straightened out. Then my mania kicked in hard. After Dr. Parrick offered to send 3 very nice mobile workers to my home. I signed every document under hippa. And was told that I would get reminder calls throughout the weekend. When that falls through, an miss an appointment two days in a row and I have two co-pays that cost $120.00 each just get something for pain to make me sleep or a cough at the CMC mental health crisis center. Then the 3rd time that I need to go to the ER at CMC by geisinger standards the CIT has to but a flat screen TV in my face So that a 20 something student wants to argue with me about the best course of treatment for me a 52 year old woman who has had a diagnosis of bipolar disorder since I was 23 years old wants commit because I appear jittery. And local crisis workers are too afraid of geisinger to speak up and can only offer me a bus pass. Anyone who knows anything about bipolar disorder or me personally knows that my greatest fear is to drive or take a bus in that state is causing an accident. The next a crisis worker talks me through all my fears of being stranded in the hospital or driving home in such a reckless state These wrap around services and SCC aren't worth it Especially when I know that Dr. Parrick has 7 years or my records or file through ACSA or 2 months worth of file's from my psychologist at Tiffany Griffiths. Now I'm ready to ready for another intake at Friendship House but I have to wait another month because of insurance issues and all I need a supply of my current medications to get me through. And when I call during the day I'm constantly getting the run around. At the same time local people who work in mental health care are handing out national phone numbers instead of local resources through NAMI and other other local agencies. I have to wonder if Dr Parrick is truly listening to me or the last person who hung up on me because they couldn't be bothered to take a message properly. So now Dr. Parrick thinks that I'm going to put up with another treatment plan based on a conversation. SCC may have a shiny new building but if I am still getting the run around from young people when my older psychologist could handle my med changes over the phone and coordinating a simple med change over the phone. I have to wonder who is really having concentration problems. Kelly Moran 570 780 2056
If it was possible I would give this place a zero!!!!!!!! The doctor did not listen to a word I had to say! I was in and out of his office in 5 minutes! Even though this was the first time I was seeing him and he changed all of my medication that I had been on for over 20 years they didn't even book me a follow-up for 2 months!!! I cannot say enough bad things!!!! I cannot warn people enough to stay away from there!!!!!!
