We recently bought a 100 year old home that had rotted and peeling original clapboard and needed a lot of TLC. We wanted to preserve the classic look of the home and repair any possible damage. With a project this involved we had close to 12+ contractors/local siding and roofing companies give us estimates and some that did not even want to take this type of project on. JMS immediately stuck out - from the beginning Matt was super responsive, friendly and knowledgeable and setup a face to face meeting to go over their company, their values, how they handle projects and what sets them apart from other contracting companies (all before even getting us an on-site estimate). Matt was completely up front and said JMS wont be the cheapest or the most expensive quote but that they will do the job right and give the best quality work, recommend the best materials/repairs and work with us with our needs. Immediately we were sold and from there, the rest of the process was seamless. They used drones and pictures/videos to get more accurate measurements and digital renders of what the project would look like when finished. Both owners Matt and Jim discussed possible issues that could come up with a project this large (getting tough conversations out up front). Once the crew came to actually do the work, they were friendly and extremely efficient and Jim and Matt were there overseeing the project nearly everyday. We were shocked at how fast and efficient the team worked and how clean they left our property daily and at the end of the project. The end result is night and day and we couldn't be happier. Matt, Jim, and their crew went above and beyond and we cannot recommend them enough. We will be using them in the future for our windows, and other major reno projects.“

Because of the work being done there were some things that needed to be done with plumbing. The plumber who came was terrific. Did a great job! (Santos Mechanical). Part of the project was a new front window. The carpenters who came to complete the inside were terrific also. It looks great and they left the place immaculate.

“Larry Giusti from Figueroa Contracting is not your typical roofer. Here’s why:Prior to Larry, we received quotes from other local roofers and each time we just felt like a number - they’d pull measurements and send a quote the next day without even coming over to look at the job or introduce themselves. On a recommendation from a neighbor, we called Figueroa Contracting and Larry came out the next day to meet us and discuss the project.He went up to inspect the roof and found some damage, took pictures, and walked us through the entire insurance process - he even met our insurance companies’ roof inspector at the house so they could walk the roof together to confirm the damage.The insurance company said we could simply replace the damaged shingles. Larry then had to come back again to pull a shingle to be sent out for testing to see if it was still in production. It wasn’t, but the insurance company said we could use an alternative one. Larry then went back up to install them and found that they were not the right size so we had to take additional photos and submit them to the insurance company to explain why their recommendation will not work.The insurance company agreed and because of Larry’s dedicated support through the entire process, we wouldn’t have known about the damage or even how to navigate the complex insurance process.Need a roof, or think you might, call Figueroa Contracting and ask for Larry!Services: Roof inspection“
