About Toms Music Trade
Tom's Music Trade is a vintage record and CD store located at 28 N Main st, Red Lion, PA 17356. The store sells a variety of items including albums, 45's, CDs, cassettes, memorabilia, turntables, receivers, and speakers. They are open six days a week and offer the option to meet and buy collections outside of business hours. The owner is known for being a straight up decent human being who is community-involved and invested in bettering life for others. Customers have described the store as a shop, not a store trying to nickel and dime the customer. The store has a serious collection of used records and the owner, Tom, puts in the time to make sure the shop has a wide variety of rare gems. One customer mentioned finding a 1970 pressing of Chicago Transit Authority and a near mint '67 album from the Butterfield Blues Band, both of which were in great condition. Tom is described as extremely friendly and a total stand up gent. He is knowledgeable about records and is available to answer questions, but also leaves customers in peace to find their treasures. In addition to the physical store, Tom's Music Trade can be followed on Facebook for daily updates and photos. The owner can be reached at 717-659-4006 for inquiries or to set up a time to buy a collection.
Solid store. Straight up decent human being runs the joint. Only been 5-10 times over 7 years due to the drive. Very community-involved and invested in bettering life for others. Oh, and there’s lots of records and other cool stuff. Just go. It’s a shop, not a store trying to nickel and dime the customer.
My favorite record store in the entire country ! I am extremely well traveled and versed in “digging in the crates” - I have found more rare UK / euro gems at Toms than any other shop I have ever set foot in. Tom has a serious collection of used records and puts in the time to make sure his shop is all killer, no filler ! Plus, Tom himself is extremely friendly and a total stand up gent. Thanks for all the amazing records over the years. Toms Music Trade is the real deal !
Tom's is awesome and a valuable resource for record albums in central PA.
I purchased several albums here this year, both new and used, all competitively priced. Last week I found a 1970 pressing of Chicago Transit Authority. This was a 2nd year pressing of CTAs first album, a double lp album. Marked $10. I've owned this album, but never on vinyl; always loved it. Tom said he had just gotten it, it was the only copy in the store and he hadn't had a chance to place it with other albums in the store. I also found a near mint '67 album from the Butterfield Blues Band.
