Ordered an ECM for a customer's vehicle (we are a repair shop, open since 1965). Received a switch, which is an obviously different part. We paid to ship the part back (about $13.00) and was promptly refunded, minus $22.00, I assume for shipping and handling, but if they make an error, they shouldn't have charged that and should have reimbursed our shipping costs. Won't be using them again. We can understand mistakes happen, but they should take full responsibility, especially when it was obvious the part wasn't an ECM.

Buyer beware! I used Auto ECMs to provide a remanufactured ECM for my 1994 Mustang Cobra (J4J1 factory calibration) and was sent a Mustang GT (T4M0 factory calibration). The replacement ECM was spray painted black, concealing the factory calibration numbers, otherwise, I would have caught their error immediately. Trusting them at their word, I have dealt with Check Engine Lights and drivability issues (go figure?) for the last year. Only after I pulled the ECM out and dug deeper did I find their error. When I brought this to their attention and asked for a warranty exchange, which was like pulling teeth, I again received a T4M0 Mustang GT ECM. Disappointing. I sought another vendor to have a chip burned to allow my car to use this incorrect ECM, at an additional $300. The drivability issues are gone. Interesting, considering Auto ECM's stance is that both ECMs are the same. "Well, we've been in business for 30 years, so..." Clearly 30 years isn't long enough.
