Just saw the film “Beautiful Day In The Neighborhood” and I was struck by the similarities between the life of Fred Rogers and daily life in The Clinic. Just as Mr. Rogers never gave up on the most damaged people, The Clinic never gives up on their most needy patients. That’s one reason why The Clinic calls their fund the 143 Fund. 143 was Mr. Rogers favorite number because that’s the number of letters needed to spell “I love you”. The Clinic is located at 143 Church St. and on 2017 it cost $143 to see each patient, so it is fitting that this fund was named in his honor. All of us working at The Clinic feel that it is a privilege to work in this amazing place, and we feel honored to have something in common with this wonderful person. We at The Clinic thank everyone for your support of this inspiring place where so many receive the best in care in an accepting and caring environment, regardless of their circumstances. We hope you have a safe, happy and loving holiday season. Oh and I highly recommend this film.
