I lived a little north of Wills Eye Hospital but was having a very difficult time getting a proper pair of glasses made for my severely myopic prescription in that area. I was told by multiple providers in this area that thin, progressive lenses could not be made for small frames by their labs. I had never, ever heard this before. Frustrated, I looked at Wills to see if they had an optician and took the 1.5 hour trip down there. I had a short wait. I brought my smaller frames with me and asked if progressive lenses could be put in my frames....of course, they said, we do it all the time. I ended up getting both clear and sunglasses in my prescription. I was promised the glasses in about 2 weeks but they came in even sooner. This was about 2014. I return yearly. After my husband had a poorly made pair of progressive glasses at Costco, I also brought him to Wills. We received very good advice from one of the opticians and my husband got the best glasses he has ever had from Wills. They carry high quality lenses and can explain the features of each one. In addition, they will take your frames from outside although I have ended up purchasing very good frames there for a reasonable price.
The professionals at the optical shop are very hardworking. They are experts in their field and really go the mile for their customers. I'm impressed with their passion for their work and I'm amazed at their ability to succeed during these uncertain times.
