Ryan Veterinary Hospital, designated as one of the nation's top veterinary trauma centers by Penn Vet, provides care for dogs, cats, and exotic animals. The hospital's faculty clinicians are board-certified in their areas of veterinary specialty and are available 24/7, 365 days a year. One customer had a positive experience with the hospital as their dog was suffering from constant urination and non-stop crying due to Degenerative Myelopathy. The hospital quickly took the dog in, fitted it with a helpful harness, and provided medication for its urinary infection. Despite a long wait, the dog left the hospital in better condition than when it arrived. However, another customer had mixed feelings about their experience. While they appreciated the care provided by Dr. Soderman, they were not happy with the unexpected additional charges for their pet's CT scan. They also felt pressured to try methods that would benefit the hospital's students, but were not financially reasonable. A different customer had a very positive experience with the hospital. After their cat was misdiagnosed at another veterinary hospital, they brought their cat to Ryan Veterinary Hospital for emergency surgery on its small intestines. The staff, specifically Dr. Fink and a student named Landan, provided excellent care, and the cat was able to leave the hospital just three days after surgery. The customer expressed gratitude for the care provided and stated that they would return for any future animal emergencies. In summary, Ryan Veterinary Hospital provides excellent care for animals in emergency situations, but some customers have expressed concerns about unexpected financial charges and feeling pressured to benefit the hospital's students. Despite these concerns, the hospital's staff has provided life-saving care for animals in critical condition.
