My daughter is a bit squeamish with any kind of medical appointment. The staff here was so very kind, gracious, and supportive. She loved the selection of eyeglass frames in the eye guess what you would refer to as the store area. Do you think she was picking out a prom dress as long as she took but they were equally kind with her.

** Lasik Consultation Review **I was very nervous for Lasik and only wanted to go to the best. Since this is associated with Wills Eye Hospital, I felt comfortable but was still hesitant. I will agree with other reviewers that it was somewhat difficult to get an appointment, but I managed to get in touch with Anne who was able to schedule me for one. My tech Steven was extremely friendly and kind while he guided me through several exercises meant to determine things like if I'm color blind, etc. He did note that some tests can't be done if you're consistently wearing contacts, so I'd need to wear my glasses for two weeks then come back for a follow up. I wish that would be communicated in advance so folks don't have to come twice before their surgery, but ok. My trouble started when they applied eye drops to dilate my eyes. I began feeling woozy, my blood pressure dropped, and I fainted in my chair. My tech immediately grabbed an MD who took my pulse, explained this was not an uncommon reaction, and made sure I was okay. Once I was stable they did a few more tests and then I spoke with Dr Feldman. He was honest in that my fainting meant that I wouldn't be a good candidate for lasik, and my eyeballs were the wrong proportions for the surgery done under anesthesia. While I won't be coming back for Lasik, I am very glad I was in such a professional environment and that I went to a reputable place that wouldn't hesitate to disqualify a candidate instead of churning out surgeries on eyes that might have complications.

Dr. Feldman is an outstanding eye doctor - a rare combination of expertise and courtesy. I used to dread each visit, though, because the techs were so rude (except Steve and Gary - I think those are their names). This time, I went prepared for the worst and was pleasantly surprised. The techs were not only courteous - they had a sense of humor. It looks like they've had some turnover and training. About time! I just wish they'd insist that techs who come near our eyes to add drops would keep their nails short. This tech let me put in my own drops. I don't want some 9-inch nails anywhere near my eyes. A doctor I met socially told me most offices won't allow long nails on anybody.
