    Kathy Fluehr...what a massive huge contribution Kathy made to our family...after all the kids shared their experience and thoughts about their mom with Kathy in a private meeting, she was able to wind all of it into one of the most profound and graceful services we have ever experienced...she literally did not miss one detail and her presence in front of hundreds of people and ability to create the space for all of us to honor Kere' will be remembered and cherished for a lifetime...if you need help with putting your celebration of life together, Kathy Fluehr has to be one of the best in the entire field of love!     My family lost someone special to us on 7/3/22. That someone was my grandmother. This funeral home was recommended by someone and I am so thankful they gave their information. My family worked with Joe Schlupp and he was amazing. The first day we saw him there was so many of us that I am pretty sure it was overwhelming. Joe was amazing every step of the way during this difficult time. There was a mix up with the coffin we picked not being available and with the prayer cards. Joe was able to get us an even more beautiful coffin for the same as the one we initially picked and got our prayer cards situation taken care of. The firm of John F. Fluehr & Sons Funeral Director is known in Philadelphia for over a century. The family business was founded by John F. Fluehr in 1898 in the Kensington section of Philadelphia. He was one of eleven children of the late Christopher and Louisa Fluehr. Instead of following his father and brothers into the furniture business, he enrolled in the New York College of Embalming. Upon graduation, he began his career as an “Undertaker” the term in use then, now referred to as a “Funeral Director”. Fluehr was dedicated and he spent long hours in his chosen profession. At an early age, sons John Jr. and Theodore worked in the business.
