Both Mr. and Mrs. Kalendar have been amazing teachers to me. Their enthusiasm and constant encouragement have kept me going for more lessons, each of which has given me such valuable information. Edward Kalendar is an excellent teacher. I am returning to the piano after 3 decades. After our initial meeting, he developed a program tailored to my skill level, goals, and musical tastes. Lessons and assigned practice pieces are challenging, but with practice they are definitely within reach. More importantly, he gives me pieces that are fun and musically interesting, which keeps me engaged me and excited to learn more. I see progress beyond my expectations with each lesson. I am so happy I made this call! HIGHLY recommended!
I've known Edward Kalendar as a colleague for many years. In addition to being great at teaching classical and jazz piano, he knows music theory and composition (including songwriting), which are very important tools for both amateur and professional musicians. Mr. Kalendar is an intuitive, enthusiastic pedagogue with decades of experience. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for an excellent piano teacher.
