We now have two safe and very useable bathrooms with handicapped accessible showers, a laundry on the main floor of our house and a powder room, and two walk in closets. We asked for wider door frames and pocket doors to create more floor space. From our first visit with Shayne, I felt our ideas and expectations were valued and always respected. The design process was at times difficult but the design we have now is exactly what we wanted and needed. Joe was very patient and always used his expertise to guide us through change orders. He suggested additions to the design that enhanced the outcome.Shayne and Joe kept us informed of the construction process and when crews would arrive and when each phase of the construction would be completed. “The attic in my home was unbearably hot. After showers water ran down the walls. Mike from Best Contracting thoroughly investigated the situation and determined I had inadequate roof ridge ventilation, nor did I have proper ventilation from the bathroom ceiling exhaust fans to the outside vents. I got 2-3 estimates but I was confident with Mike. He went into that exceedingly hot attic, got measurements inside, and on the roof. He answered my questions with clarity, and patience, was clear as to what needed to be done to correct the problems. “A couple months ago we experienced a ceiling leak on the 2nd floor. It was determined by another company that water was getting in due to the seal failing around the boots where the pipes exit the roof. It was concerning as more rain was expected to come. I contacted several roofing companies, but no one was able to even evaluate the roof for several days to a week. I called Scenic View Roofing, and Amos came out the same day to caulk/seal the boots until his team could come out to repair the boots permanently. I was so appreciative that Amos took the situation seriously and was able to come out to help so further rain damage would not occur to our house. A couple weeks later, Amos' team came out to replace our boots. I would recommend Scenic View Roofing and will be using them in the future for any roofing needs.“

“Within the past few months or so, I noticed water was pouring down the back wall of my house during heavy rainfall, and didn’t seem to be diverting to the downspout. After being told I may need an entire new roof by another contractor (who claimed the rubber was rotting through from standing water and would need to be pulled out and replaced, at which point they suggested I might as well replace the entire roof), Melvin’s estimator Stephen managed to give me a considerably lower estimate to fix a misaligned/faulty drip edge (which he believed was causing the bulk of the issue). They could have tried to sell me on a new roof / repair, but instead told me they did not feel the integrity of the roof was compromised and didn’t see any reason to believe there was rot. This level of honesty is rare these days!

His team member Nolan got the job done within a couple hours and was extremely nice and professional. He even noted that my downspout wasn’t attached efficiently (I believe it was in place with loose nails), and said he reconnected it with anchor screws to keep it in place. They also recaulked along the back of my deck overhang to prevent any water from leaking through to the deck as it had been.

All this being said, it just rained last night, and I didn’t notice any water running down the back of my house like it was before. In fact, as I stood on my back deck, I could actually hear the rainwater pouring through the downspout!
