Went to Dr. Benstock for hair loss. She wrote it off as genetics and told me to go on Rogaine after talking to me for 5 minutes. I decided to go to another derm for a second opinion- the other derm ordered me to get blood work. The blood work came back and I was diagnosed with anemia.

I know a very close friend who visited Dr. Benstock, and had a horrible experience. She did not listen to any of her concerns, and was more willing to put her on acutane, than exhaust every other option as most dermatologists should. Which is not nearly the worst of it. When hearing that my friend was struggling with her mental health, she tried to play the role of therapist, ignoring the fact that my friend was on medication and already seeing someone who was actually licensed to give the advice that Dr. Benstock was now giving. Love Dr. Benstock. My daughter goes to her for accutane treatments and finally after years of battling cystic acne, her skin is flawless and we are so thankful for her patience and care. After seeing two other dermatologists, we lost hope. Finally, we met Dr. Benstock and couldn’t believe how only after two weeks of accutane, her skin transformed. Thank you for giving my daughter the confidence that she desperately needed. She no longer hides her face.
