“Where to begin with Proactive Roofing?Due to some poor craftsmanship by the person who owned my house before me, apparently my roof was constructed pretty poorly, unbeknownst to me. Once I started getting severe leaking in the house I began contacting roofers. Several came through and quoted me astronomically high prices letting me know it was a huge job that would involve a rebuild on the structure of the roof. I was ready to give up and shell out when I was recommended to Andrew and Josh.After surveying the roof, Andrew quoted the repair at a much more reasonable number, and ensured it would be done within a couple of weeks. He and Josh came out and build an absolutely beautiful new roof, were completely respectful of me, my home, my dog, and the yard, and finished the job within 24 hours. There aren't enough good words in the English language for my satisfaction with their work. They provided a warranty on the roof and got done with two guys what might take several more much more time to accomplish. I am working with them currently on more projects around my property now and intend on keeping their number in my pocket if anyone I know needs roof repairs or other projects done. These fellas are the real deal, salt of the earth, and kind as anything. Don't hesitate. Call them before they're booked out indefinitely. 11/10“

“They were booked out for some time due to storm damage in the county but on the day of the appointment Cody was super helpful, very informative, took lots of photos of the issue (turned out it likely wasn't my roof causing the water ingress but the neighbors). I was provided honest quotes for a couple misc items that could help mitigate the issue and advice on fixing a gutter draining problem on a lower roof. “Smucker Construction was consulted by Christ Presbyterian Church in Camp Hill when we were looking to replace our roof. Smucker inspected our roof and found the EPDM, rubber roofing, was in good shape. Their suggestion was to apply a spray coating over the EPDM roofing to prolong the life of the roof. When the coating starts to ware off they could power wash the roof and respray the coating to renew the roof. This process was much less expensive than tearing off the EPDM roofing and reroofing the large roof.
Smucker Contracting was busy with other jobs but worked us into the open spots in their schedule until they could come to finish the project. Great people to work with and responsive to calls for follow up. The church later called on Smucker Construction to specially make larger rain spout collectors as the smaller ones we could buy were not large enough to handle the water runoff of our large roof. At the same time we had them install gutter guards to prevent leaves an pine needles from clogging our rain spouting. Not having to go on the roof with a back pack blower to blow out the leaves was a dream come true.
