I had an emergency last night at 10:30 pm with my one horse experiencing a colic episode. I called into the service and within 5 minutes Dr. Solomon had called me back. After the 2nd call i decided to have her come to my barn to be safe rather than sorry. They arrived sooner than I was advised which was amazing. This was my first time with Allegheny having transferred from my retired vet. I was very impressed with Dr. Solomon and Dr. Cassidy. I want to thank Allegheny Equine for their expertise and understanding in everything that they offer. They have given my horses nothing but the very best for many years . They are fair .. compassionate .. and prompt . They answer the phone and work in a timely fashion which is also very refreshing. . There is no where else I'd rather use for my equine care needs . My only wish is that they were closer .. Thank you for your wonderful care and treatment of my mare Miracle .
Excellent. It's a fine edge with being a Vet. They have to not only treat the horse but also educate and listen to the owners. Some owners just want a Vet to 'fix' a problem. Others, like me, not only want to fix the issue but understand how to prevent and/or rehabilitate. That takes time.Allegheny Equine makes the time.Another thing I truly appreciate is that their practice doesn't push testing, diagnostic testing if they don't feel its necessary.Sometimes an ultrasound is called for, sometimes it isn't. I'd prefer to reserve my cash for what is needed down the line and I appreciate the upfront honesty.Overall, a solid A.
