Scudder Falls Bridge is a toll bridge that connects Pennsylvania and New Jersey. The toll can be paid using an EZ Pass electronic tag, which costs $1.50, or by having a picture taken of your license plate, which costs $3. If you're driving a rental car, it's important to add the rental car's license plate number to your EZ Pass profile to avoid extra charges. One popular activity at Scudder Falls Bridge is walking or biking across the bridge for the scenic views. The path is well-maintained and offers views of the Delaware River, a large island in the middle of the river, and the Washington Crossing bridge. On the New Jersey side, the path continues along a canal where herons, mallards, eagles, and other birds can be seen. In the summer, turtles can also be spotted. On the Pennsylvania side, the path leads to a state park where visitors can meander on a red gravel path or through a neighborhood. The 1799 House, which has been converted into a rest area with bathrooms, water, and air conditioning, can be found on the Yardley side of the bridge.
This is such a great addition to connect the D&R & D&L canal paths for cyclists to ride over the bridge (which isn’t allowed on the other river crossing bridges in the area).

What a great view and the path was great for biking, walking, running or scootering. Great views and separated from the road so it’s quiet and safe. I made a trip from Lambertville to the bridge on the canal path then back up to Washington’s crossing.
It's hard to avoid the toll as the signs are not clear at night and there are no toll booths for cash. It's "Toll By Plate" where they take a picture of your license plate and mail you a $3 ticket. unless you're driving a car with an EZ PASS electronic tag, you'll be charged half of that, only $1.50. Just make sure the license plate is in your EZ PASS profile.
