I originally requested HousePaws services to vaccinate and assess a senior Husky we adopted. Years later, I had them euthanize that Husky at home. The Vet and Vet Tech arrived timely and on time. Both were kind, professional and compassionate. The procedure was performed proficiently and respectfully. They've been so great, now i take my healthy puppy to them. The same Vet sees us each time - continuity of care is important to me. She and the Vet Tech have taken their time during our appointments, been thorough in answering my questions and helping with suggestions. Everyone i've interacted with at this practice has been helpful and professional. I can only say good things about HousePaws. 5 stars +
This review is for their Morrisville location and is long overdue. We just had another wonderful mobile vet visit from Dr. Dana. She was accompanied by Vanessa, a very thoughtful, amiable and empathetic vet tech we just met today. Our thirteen-year-old little girl, Wanda, has been through a lot in the past six months. Earlier this year she had a Laryngeal Tieback surgery after being diagnosed with Laryngeal Paralysis. During the same procedure, her thyroid glands were removed to address progressed Hyperthyroidism, which was out of control. This on top of a Heart Condition. During this time, Wanda's weight plummeted to a horrifying 6.5lbs, which is about half what she weighed when she was younger and healthy. Throughout this extremely stressful and bleak period, Dr. Dana and her team at HousePaws were absolutely outstanding, highly competent, compassionate and responsive. Dr. Dana repeatedly made time for Wanda, even if it meant her staying late to see us in the Morrisville office, just so we could have her seen sooner. There was also two occasions when Dr. Dana was not in the office and another fantastic vet offered to see Wanda in the evening, as well. We whole-heartedly trust Dr. Dana with all our fur babies, and we are beyond grateful to have her as our vet. Many of our visits are mobile ones, a service that we anticipate relying heavily on in the future (we have two additional feline fur babies, neither of whom tolerate being picked up and/or caged, even for a short time). The office is generally busy, a fact I believe speaks to just how many people depend upon HousePaws and trust them with their furry family members. Dr. Dana understands what it's like to be a worried fur-baby mom, and was so kind and thoughtful as to give us her email address so that we can reach her whenever needed. How awesome is that? Honestly, sometimes I forget that I have the ability to send an email to Dr. Dana directly, because seriously, how many doctors care enough to do that in this day and age? Whenever I do remember to send an email, Dr. Dana has responded with a thoughtful answer, and in a timely manner. She is wonderful! I've been frantically worried about our little Wanda. Today Dr. Dana and Vanessa made a special trip to our home to check on her. In addition to being provided with a medication, bloodwork was taken to give us a better idea where Wanda is at with her Kidney Disease and overall health. We were also given valuable information regarding this disease, including websites that offer support and education. As someone caring for a dearly loved family member who has a serious, terminal medical condition, I cannot emphasize enough just how fortunate our family is to Dr. Dana and the staff at HousePaws. Thank you!
