If you like a more rough massage then this is your place. As for me, I love that. When I feel that knots are being worked over I'm happy and this place did just that. Definitely not a casual/lazy sweedish massage. My wife also went in and she had a different masseuse that also worked on her knots and she also loved it. They were also really flexible with scheduling which is always great too.
I called ahead (which they seemed to appreciate) for a 90 minute massage. I was a little early for my appointment, but they still started right away with no wait. The table was a little uncomfortable around the head hole, but that could have been my fault for the positioning. Despite a broken heater, they made sure the place was warm and welcoming, specially during the service. The quality of the massage was great. A note, they prefer cash, but do accept CC.
I randomly saw this place as I drove by on a Friday after a tense, stressful and messy work week. I was feeling very uptight & agitated. I knew I needed to unwind before bringing this "bad energy" home to my family. My options were 1) a quick massage or 2) a large but quick martini:) I saw this place and pulled in. It's not sophisticated looking in any way from the outside so lower any expectations down on what you'll see from the outside. But something gravitated me to check it out even though the surroundings were old and outdated surrounding it. BUT I love to discover the "hole-in-the -wall" type places that delightfully surprise you b/c everyone had to start somewhere. We'll, let me say, this was THE BEST massage I've ever had. I e had both women that work there & both are great; but that Friday I had Amber, and the experience blew me away. I went from requesting 30 min massage to an hour and a half! Pricing was unbelievably good and their skill level, strength, energy expended throughout and their techniques...WOW!!! "holy crap this is amazing", I thought to myself! Again, nothing fancy inside to expect, but very very clean and that matters most. Only suggestion I'd change is they should get rid of the bells on the door since it is a spa. You can hear them from the rooms. They should get cameras for the front so they can see the door while they work from a room, or lock the door and have a sign up sheet outside or something like that if they can't afford a receptionist yet. Anyway it didn't matter. Amber began with the BEST massage I've ever had. She asked if I needed her to adjust. For me it was perfect. I like a deep massage that almost could hurt but definitely doesn't. She did that seamlessly with continuous, even pressure throughout the entire time. This lady had very strong hands that never wavered. On her own instinct, she immediately found my most vulnerable spot that always aches which is tucked behind my shoulder blade. She went right to it like she could see with a third eye. Usually masseuses can't even get to it even after I point it out and I have to try out many positions of moving my arm at wound foe them to barely reach it. Not her. She was a pro. She maneuvered my body like putty & went right to it. Neither women have fantastic English so keep it simple with speaking, but they understand you and can reply well enough! They also may just be shy about their English and holding back. Amber incorporated techniques I've seen but never had myself, things like: stretching my arms & legs by gently pulling them as far as possible then holding them as they released the tightness, she would bend, fold & twist my body into positions I could've never held myself & simultaneously leaned onto me to hold that position, again releasing any tightness and nothing was uncomfortable, it all just felt amazing. I've seen this as a profession in L.A. mostly hired by the very wealthy or famous starts that have professional "stretchers" come to their home to stretch them. I see why now. Then, I'm not sure what was happening in my back after that but I believe she may have stood up on my back with bare feet or else knelt on my back and began to stretch my torso and upper body then massage me again with either her feet or knees? I was a puddle of drool at this point and honestly was so relaxed I didn't know or care what she was going I just know my body was turning into pudding and I arrived a stiff as a wood bored physically and mentally. When it was done I could barely pay I was so relaxed and I didn't understand why it was so inexpensive for what I had just experienced but I also didn't care to think at the time b/c I just wanted to keep the feeling I had. I think I gave her a $30 tip haha. I just said thank you, thank you that was amazing and left. I left elated and happy and so relaxed. It was 10 out of 10 for quality and price. And I've been back and it was the same sa
