After moving back to this the area, I was looking for a good salon to have manicure and pedicure done. Many years ago I was a customer of this salon when it was in Dallas. I made my appointment as was very anxious for a bit of pampering. Upon arrival I was met by a very rude nail technician and instructed to sit in a straight back leather living room chair and to submerge my feet in what looked like a small foot bath. I was surprised that what I thought was going to be a luxurious process turned out to be putting my feet in a bucket of water. While sitting there feeling like I was in my grandmother's kitchen, she asked me how to take my next gen nail polish off. Her exact wording was " we don't have this product, so I don't know how to do this". I explained the process and as she did what I assumed was correct, she used regular acetone remover instead on non-acetone resulting in the melting of all of my nails. She couldn't have been nastier, telling me that she would have to put 7 "tips" on my nails, thinking that she could save the other by coating them with gel polish. Again using the "I don't know what I am going here "excuse. Her tone of voice and verbage to customers is unacceptable. She blames customers for what she doesn't know about her field. The toenail polish was on so thick that after sitting for over an hour letting it dry, it was still a mess later that day and I had to repolish. The gel polish on my fingernails is "puddled" and heavy showing streaks and brush marks. The proprietor of the salon has been known to me since I was a client of Snips n Tips in Dallas. She was right there in the shop, walking back and forth and listening to how this employee was talking to me and she did nothing but smile and walk by at least a half dozen times. Never helped me to deal with this crude nail person, just kept ignoring the situation and smiling. To make a horrible situation of bad care and bad attitudes worse this salon charges you to take your credit card! I never heard if that being done ANYWHERE ! I have heard of unreputable gas stations holding an extra dollar when paying by credit card at the gas pump, but that is refunded when they receive the amount due. I was charged for the foot bath pedicure, the tips she put on because she melted the originals and she asked for a tip, reluctantly given because I am not a rude person. The nail person is unskilled and speaks to customers as if they were her bothersome little sister and the owner just walks and smiles, letting the at the register rip off continue. Unless you like back woods, down home treatment stay away and no matter how much you think it will be great because it used to be..................it's anything but!
The first time I ever went there it was a good experience I thought I found the place close to my house that I can go to until this time this time I was left waiting after the appointment I made the lady didn’t talk to me at all maybe said a few words about my hair that’s it I felt awkward she was rushing it she was brushing through my hair really hard I just didn’t like the fact that she was going so fast while working on my hair she’s a nice person I was not a fan of the way she did my hair though
I've been coming here for years. Everyone is very nice, but Donna is my favorite. She styled my hair for various proms, formals, and weddings, and she has always done a great job. There is also a little shop inside, with purses, jewelry, etc. Highly recommend!
