“Meet Ellie. She is 17 months old and having the time of her life accompanying me in the role of Service dog. Cathy, Ellie and I have been working together for a year now and it is Cathy’s expertise and guidance that has made this possible. She is an excellent, patient and loving mentor. Ellie has been able to travel with me, staying in hotels and a vacation resort as well as a fishing lodge over the border. Together we have lounged by the pool and dined in restaurants ranging from a hot dog stand to white tablecloth. She goes grocery shopping and to the hair salon. At all times Ellie has conducted herself as a well mannered, competent and poised Service dog. She receives compliments daily on her comportment. Our recent trip was four weeks and she had not one faux paw? or slip up. All this was possible through Cathy’s guidance and training of both Ellie and me. I think I was the more difficult student.
