Review of Aston Black Enterprises February/March 2020 We initially met Mark Black (Owner) at the 2018 Philadelphia Home Show. We were planning a media room and basically interviewed potential contractors. To this day, I am sorry we did not choose Aston Black for that project. When we decided to move forward with our kitchen renovation, we were able to hone down our final choices to Mr. Black and Gardner/Fox. We had both out to the house for an initial consult. What stood out from the very beginning was the attention to detail and the fact that Aston Black was willing to take preliminary measurements for a rough blueprint without a contract or design fee. It took a few weeks, but we finally met with Mark Black at his showroom in Lancaster, PA. That meeting lasted three hours and included the initial design of our dream kitchen on his large screen computer as he had all the 'before' pictures ready for discussion. We were impressed from that point on with his gift for innovation and design. Since we had already selected the counter tops, and had a fairly good idea of the layout, we decided to accept his draft proposal for the Scope of Work with minimal correction. From day one, his crew were professional and exceptional to the end of the project. They were under the supervision of a Construction Manager and an extremely talented crew of two men. They arrived early every day, some weeks on Saturday and stayed well past five o'clock on other days. The Construction Manager as well as Mark Black were immediately available by text, phone or email. Mark Black stopped in several times and stayed in touch almost daily. The workmanship was superior. Mark Black referred us to Keystone Granite where we were extremely satisfied in their install of our Cambria Granite counter tops. In addition, we were referred to The Tile Shop where Joe the Manager was equally as accommodating. We have had many contractors complete several projects in the twenty-two years we've been in this house but none to this degree of professionalism, artisanship and quality. Mr. Black's design ideas and attention to detail gave us a kitchen that far exceeded our expectations. In addition to the kitchen renovation, we also engaged Aston Black in the renovation of our Family Room which included new brickface, complete ceiling repair, install of a new gas insert fireplace and new mantle. Mark Black successfully referred us to Lanchester Grill and Hearth in Gap, PA. where Sam and his staff were absolutely wonderful in their sale and installation of our new gas fireplace insert. Five stars to Aston Black and his crew, we cannot wait to plan our new bathroom suite next fall.
