Hershey School of Dance began as a tap dancing school in 1977 and has expanded to include dancing instruction in a wide range of genres including jazz, tap, ballet, pointe, hip hop, contemporary, modern and theater dance. Our mission at Hershey School of Dance and Arts is to give students a solid dance education, while nurturing their creativity, self-expression, and confidence. It is our goal to inspire our students to make a commitment to their dance education by striving to do their personal best. We foster an environment where students are encouraged to be respectful of the studio, their peers, their artform and themselves.

My daughter (10) started at Hershey School of Dance in the fall of 2021, and I can’t honestly say enough about this school! The teachers are exceptional, and see dance and learners through this wonderful lens of kindness and encouragement. I wanted a “love the whole child” kind of space for my daughter. One where they focused on fun, technique, the joy of dance, friendship and unlimited expression. She comes home from every single class anxiously awaiting the next one. I was particularly impressed at how smooth the recital weeks went last May, at how parents were encouraged to be involved, and at how much fun my daughter had being on stage. I have to say, so many dances brought tears to my eyes! The choreography was simply amazing!!! This summer when the summer intensive came around, (four hours Monday through Friday) I was ecstatic at how they devised the curriculum! Allowing students to choose the classes they want every hour or stay with one style the whole evening, encouraging students to branch out of their own comfort zones and really express the dance within! My daughter is so excited to add more styles to her repertoire and showcase her love of dance on stage again next year! Thank you so much Hershey School of Dance for bringing so much joy to my girl!!!!!! I can’t recommend your school enough!!!!
