Gary did a great job diagnosing and repairing a troubling leak from outside the concrete frame of my bilco doors into the interior of my basement. He was very fair with his work estimate and cost, and extremely responsive when I contacted him to do the work. My backyard is mostly a very, very steep slope that seemed to confound every hardscaper or mason that surveyed the site. There was a decaying wooden stairs that seemed to add to the sadness of the landscape. I dreamed of natural stone steps and woodland plantings with laurels and ferns. Gary Simmers was the only hardscaper with the confidence to take on that hillside and for thousands less than my next cheapest estimate. I was offered many solutions but Gary was able to create the natural look I wanted. The steps are substantial but placed perfectly to flow down the hill like a stone waterfall, for a timeless look like what you might see at a British country house. Even my thrifty friend had to admit that those steps are stunning and worth every penny. Mr. Simmers responded quickly to a request for an estimate and stuck to his quote and timeline. His workers were exceptionally courteous, hard working, and professional. They completed the arduous job in just a few days, and even removed the old rotting wood staircase for me. They cleaned up the worksite and graded the ground below at the correct pitch. I would highly recommend Gary Simmers hardscaping services! I can't wait to start planting along the crevices at the side of my beautiful steps.

Gary is a true craftsman and take pride in his work. He was the only mason we talked to who was willing to reuse the beautiful stone on our old patio that needed to be rebuilt. He painstakingly took up each piece, cleaned it and then relaid it. The final job is wonderful and we are so pleased. Here are before, during and after photos!
