One of the classes I have taken is the Fabric Pro course taught by Jim Pemberton, and boy am I glad I did.The Fabric Pro class has several things working synergistically that make it such a great class. First, Jim is incredibly knowledgeable of the subject matter. Second is Jim himself, he is friendly, even keeled and genuinely interested in passing on his knowledge. Third is a course with a good curriculum structure and lots of hands on activities.All of these combine for a great class, but life happens out side the classroom.You can retain a certain percentage of the class material but luckily there is a reference grade workbook I keep on the truck, and most importantly is Jim’s willingness to answer the phone when I find myself in a tough situation that I cannot work through myself. “We had three panes of stained glass in our front entrance that had seen better days: they were discolored from the sun, had numerous cracks, and the casting mold that held them was broken in multiple places.

OHSG came directly to the house, explained in detail the process, using the pieces as they stood to help demonstrate what would be remedied in the restoration phase, as well as what changes they would make to ensure it matched the existing space around the pieces and improve its functionality.

Now at the end of the project, we couldn't be happier with their work. It looks fantastic, blends perfectly with the woodwork we have, and now features an added plate to protect the glass from the outside and increase temperature control in the entranceway.

The work was done at a reasonable price point given the precision required and we'd readily recommend OHSG for anyone trying to restore their own pieces or commission new ones.

Worth noting is that some of the particular parts may take time to procure, so things admittedly aren't speedy, but it was more than worth the wait to have the final product!“

“I had an incredible experience with Claude Odom of Rainbow Restoration. On the coldest night this past winter, my house pipes froze and flooded two floors of our house. Water poured into our kitchen and living area and waterfalls from the upper level below destroyed the lower floor. “Boyer & Pentek did an excellent job once they got started. It took a long time to start the job but once they started the process was excellent!! They showed up everyday until the job was finished. Their carpenters, painters and electricians were excellent and easy to work with. Nothing was a problem. They cleaned up at the end of each day and left my property in great condition. I had zero items on a punch list. My only complaint was lack of communication. But at the end of the day I am extremely pleased with the outcome and quality.“
