One of the last true bespoke tailors left in the US. He will hand make clothing for you, you can even pick the fabric from the bolts of cloth in his shop (which is where the word bespoke came from).

I've taken four pairs of jeans to Lara Brothers over the past few years for a variety of alterations -- hemmed/shortened, waist taken in, etc. All of the work came out absolutely perfect and has held up through many, many washings. The location of the shop is a bit awkward, thus making it a bit difficult to get to, and the shop itself is on the small side -- but to me, these things are trivial, and the quality of my alterations far outweighs them! I'll definitely be returning in the future.

I recently bought a new suit and the pants were in need of alterations. I wanted a tailor and chose Lara Brothers. Mr. Lara is an accomplished tailor who is very professional and he did an excellent job with the necessary alterations. His fitting room is small but clean with a private curtained area for changing. Regarding price, he might be a little higher than some of the other tailors in the phonebook, but his work is excellent. He is located on a slightly rundown part of Walnut Street but provides parking in a small lot behind the shop, accessed by a back alleyway.
